What is Teams?

Microsoft Teams is an Office 365 based collaboration space tying together features from Skype for Business, SharePoint Online and OneNote to present a simpler, more unified collaboration experience.

Running on top of SharePoint, Teams provides users with a way to instantly chat (privately and publicly), share items, provide project updates and manage deadlines from their desktop. Teams provides one modern group site for each team created and allows for users, both internal and external, to work together anywhere, anytime.

Did you know?

By the middle of 2018 (2nd Quarter to be exact) Microsoft expects to have Skype for Business fully integrated with Teams therefore allowing users to work in one location to do everything?
