.NET Applications Programmer, GIS (2 openings)
JOB LOCATION & TRAVEL: Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida. Limited
travel.
DUTIES: Work as part of a growing team developing web-based and desktop GIS applications built on ISC’s MapDotNet, employing industry-standard application development procedures and best practices. Participate in all phases of software development including requirements analysis, database and application design, documentation and user training.
REQUIREMENTS: BS in
Computer Science or other scientific field plus no less than 1-2 years of
prior software development experience.
1. Experience in web-based application development using Visual Studio and
ASP .NET 2.0 with C#.
2. Experience with javascript, AJAX, HTML, and XML.
2. Experience building/maintaining MS SQL Server, Oracle, or other Database
Management system.
4. Preferred prior experience with GIS application development using ArcIMS/ArcSDE/ArcGIS,
MapDotNet or similar software.
5. Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Degree in above fields plus two years’ of prior software development

DUTIES: Coordinating test activities to meet business and customer
needs. Identifying testing objectives, documenting test plans and creating
test strategies. Supporting defect discovery and resolution. Using automated
testing tools, including developing scripts, executing tests, and reporting
results. Developing QA documentation, including process flows, test
scenarios and test scripts.
REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS in Computer Science or other scientific field
plus no less than one year of prior software QA experience. Software QA
Certifications are always a plus
1. Experience in creating automated software tests.
2. Experience in creating test strategies and test plans.
3. Experience in implementing regression and unit tests.
4. Experience in defect tracking from inception to resolution.
5. Extensive experience with meeting facilitation and documentation
