Tallahassee, FL – Today, the Agency for Health Care Administration (Agency) announced that its consumer and provider transparency website, FloridaHealthFinder.gov, was selected to receive a 2016 Digital Government Achievement Award (DGAA) from the Center for Digital Government. The DGAA recognizes government websites that provide outstanding data accessibility and transparency through innovative technologies. FloridaHealthFinder.gov was awarded in the State and Federal Government-to-Citizen category.

Agency Secretary Elizabeth Dudek said, “FloridaHealthFinder continues to serve as a valuable resource for those who are looking for information on health care services in Florida. This award shows the hard work and dedication of our Florida Center for Health Information and Transparency in their continued effort to make health care information more accessible to patients.”

Since 2007, FloridaHealthFinder.gov has been a one-stop-shop where Florida consumers and health care stakeholders can search and compare information about the Agency’s more than 48,000 licensed health care facilities and providers. The website offers a suite of interactive tools to locate and compare hospitals, surgery centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, health insurance plans, and other health care services.

The website also contains convenient links to the Agency’s licensure and regulatory compliance information for providers, printable consumer guides and additional resources. FloridaHealthFinder.gov received more than 3.7 million visits during 2015.
